Our Story
Dreamspell Gardens was founded in 2009 by Calvin Simpson and Julie Daube Simpson, a husband-and-wife team united by their passion for nature, design, and creating harmonious outdoor environments. Originally launched as Dreamspell Landscaping, the company evolved into Dreamspell Gardens to reflect a refined vision: a holistic approach to landscape design that integrates natural elements with architectural artistry.
Meet the Founders
Calvin Simpson
Calvin’s love for gardening began in the mountains of Jamaica, where he grew up helping his family cultivate their food. This early connection to the land instilled in him a lifelong appreciation for nature and the joy of working with his hands. After moving to the United States, Calvin pursued a successful career in manufacturing management. Yet, his heart always remained with the soil and the gardens of his youth. He reignited this passion by completing the University of Florida’s Master Gardening program and returning to his roots as a gardener and landscaper. Calvin’s expertise and hands-on approach ensure that every Dreamspell Gardens project thrives with care and precision.
Julie Daube Simpson
Julie brings a designer’s eye and an architect’s precision to Dreamspell Gardens. With a background in architecture and a Master Gardener certification from the University of Florida, Julie’s unique blend of talents allows her to envision and create stunning outdoor spaces that are both functional and visually captivating. Her deep understanding of structure, balance, and aesthetics makes every garden a seamless extension of her clients’ homes and lifestyles. Julie’s designs transform ordinary landscapes into extraordinary havens.
